Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Friday, November 17, 2023. He had just turned 62. Don leaves behind his loving wife Andrea, along with stepson Chris (Jen) Warren. He will be fondly remembered by his adored grandchildren Abby and Zoey, and sadly missed by his extended family and many friends in the curling and golf community. Cremation has taken place.

Family and friends are invited to the burial ceremony at 1pm on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the National Military Cemetery at Beechwood, 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, ON. A reception will follow at Beechwood.

My condolences to the family. His mother was my cousin. I used to babysit Donald and his brother Norman. He will always be in my heart.

Our sincerest condolences to Don's family. Shortly after we joined the Hylands Golf Club six years ago, one day Don slotted in with us to round out a foursome and ever since we were a regular group. Don's gentle, humourous and easy-going nature made him a fun playing partner, especially when he scolded “Donald” after hitting an errant shot. Because of his friendly nature, he knew many folks at the club. Don, we sorely miss you.

Andrea and family
Our heartfelt condolences. Everyone who met your Don was immediately welcomed by his smile and kind manner. Curling’s trademark is sportsmanship - Don epitomized this trait in every way. Irregardless of whether he played as skip or as lead, his team mates could rely on Don to bring his best game and encourage his team mates despite the scoreboard.

Don you touched us all and for this we will forever carry your winning smile in our hearts.
