Madeleine Bureau passed away suddenly and peacefully at The Glebe Centre on Friday, July 7. Loving mother of Tracey and her favourite son in law, Frank. Proud Grandmere to Bailey (Robert), Logan (Kat) and Kate (Jesse). Belle Mere to Karen and Steve (Donelle), grandmother to Caleb (Karilyn), Chris (Cherrie), Jane (Martin), Cath (Matt), Heather (Trevor), Chris (Sara) and Ian (Casey). Survived by her siblings Georgette and Jean (Lorraine), 13 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings; Jeannine, Gerard, Lucille and Juliette and her longtime companion; Jack Rous.
Madeleine was an entertainer extraordinaire who loved to cook for her family and friends every chance she had. She loved conversation and had an incredible wit that was always delivered with a slight smile and twinkle in her eye. Her compassion and generous spirit was evident in all she did. She cared deeply for her friends and never met a dog or cat she didn't like. Her unwavering love of her family made a lasting impression and mark on our hearts that will not be forgotten. The family wishes to thank all those involved in her care over the years and especially in this final chapter of her exceptional life.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Madeleine. I was her neighbor on Medhurst and spent time talking to her and she made me some special meals. She will be missed

Madeleine has touched so many lives - mostly mine.
I will always cherish our times to-gether whether it would be going to the cinema, seeing a live musical or drama or partying and entertaining.
I’m so glad she was in my life.

Unfortunately, we never got to know Madeleine, however we are thankful to have her daughter Tracey in our lives. Sending our thoughts and support.
I will always treasure the times we spent visiting with Madeleine with Grandpa Jack and the family as well as later in life staying with her whenever Matt and I came to Canada. No words can give justice to her stories, cooking and generosity. Thinking of all of the family during this time and know that she is now at peace. Madeleine, you will so loved and will be dearly missed xx
