After a 3 year struggle with dementia, Pierre passed away, peacefully, in Ottawa on June 16, 2023 at the age of 58.
Pierre is the son of the late Pierre Paul Séguin and the late Françoise Séguin (née Chénier). He leaves behind his brother Marc (Caroline Huot), his sisters Francine (Kevin Dale) and Nicole (Dwight Saunders), as well as nephews and nieces Clodie, Alex, Étienne, Harrison and Briannah, and many friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Royal Ottawa Place for the excellent care and compassion they showed Pierre. Many thanks also to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Civic Hospital, floor 5B.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Beechwood National Memorial Centre located at 280 Beechwood Avenue in Vanier, Ontario. In memory of Pierre, donations to the Royal Ottawa Place (1141 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, Ont. K1Z 7K4) would be appreciated.

Il est le fils de feu Pierre Paul Séguin et de feu Françoise Séguin (née Chénier). Il laisse dans le deuil son frère Marc (Caroline Huot), ses soeurs Francine (Kevin Dale) et Nicole (Dwight Saunders), ses neveux et ses nièces Clodie, Alex, Étienne, Harrison et Briannah, ainsi que plusieurs amis.
La famille désire remercier le personnel du foyer Place Royal Ottawa pour les soins et le soutien exceptionnels que Pierre a reçus, ainsi que pour la compassion qui lui a été démontrée. Des remerciements sont également adressés aux médecins, aux infirmiers(ières) et tout le personnel du 5B de l’hôpital d’Ottawa – Campus Civic pour les soins en fin de vie.
Un service commémoratif aura lieu au Centre commémoratif national de Beechwood situé au 280, avenue Beechwood à Vanier Ontario, le vendredi 30 juin 2023 à 10 heures. En mémoire de Pierre, des dons au foyer Place Royal Ottawa (1141, avenue Carling, Ottawa Ontario K1Z 7K4) seraient grandement appréciés.
