Passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023 at the age of 72. Isabel leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Eduardo Raposo.  Her beloved daughters; Teresa (Jeffrey), Debbie (Tom) and Ashley (Jimmie).  She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren (Hope, Rio, Diego, Malijah, Sienna, Dimitri and Dante) as well as her brothers, sisters in-law, brother in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Born in Maia, Açores, the eldest of 8 children, she lived a humble life in Portugal, She came to Canada as a young woman where she began working to improve her life and care for her family back home. Not long after arriving, she met the love of her life, Eduardo. Together they created a beautiful life.

Isabel was generous, loving, thoughtful, kind, caring, and joyful.  She loved gardening, cooking and providing for her family, and connecting with family and friends.  She was a deeply religious woman who spent many years volunteering at her church. She adored her husband, children and grandchildren, and loved and cared for many others. She will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON) on Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 from 5-8pm.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 at Paroquia Senhor Santo Cristo Parish (1100 Kenaston Street) at 11:30am followed by the interment at Beechwood Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Paroquia Senhor Santo Cristo Parish or to The Canadian Diabetes Association.
