Passed away peacefully in Ottawa on December 9th, Beloved wife of Robert Sawaya. Loving mother of Dalia and Ivan. Much loved daughter of Nehmatallah Fares and Zakia Berchan. Caring sister of Anwar Fares (Maya Bakhos) and Nesrine Fares. She will be dearly missed by her in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Beechwood Funeral and Cemetery Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Thursday December 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road.
In lieu of flowers and for those wishing, in memoriam donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Church would be appreciated.

It was truly a pleasure working with Dr Fares. I wanted to learn a lot more. Her loss has left us shattered. However, She was such a good person and a beautiful soul. She will live in my heart forever. My sincere condolences are with the Fares family at this time.

I worked with Faten's mom Zakia over 25 years ago. Faten as my optometrist has always kept me in touch with the family and our running Javex joke. Faten was an exceptional woman, mother, daughter, friend and Doctor She made an impact on everyone she met with her warmth, caring nature and sense of fun. She will be deeply missed.
