It is with great sadness that the Chénard family announces the passing of Mr. Marc Chénard at the Élisabeth Bruyère Transitional Care Unit at Greystone Village in Ottawa on January 15, 2022 at the age of 89. He is predeceased by his wife Thérèse Bonenfant. He is predeceased by his parents Isidore and Bernadette and by his brothers Emilien, Emmanuel (Léa), Viateur (Marguerite), Siméon (Marie-France), Laurent, Emilien (Margaret) and Eloi and his sisters Alice (late François Colombani) and Berthile. He is survived by his beloved Georgette Landriault who was by his side for many years. He is survived by his brother Jean-Guy (Monique), and his sisters: Gemma (Jean-Noël Côté) and Christiane (Heinz Zarth). He also leaves to mourn several nieces and nephews as well as many friends and neighbors in Wellington West/ Hintonburg. He was a gentle man who was always there to lend a helping hand and was loved by many. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1 p.m. in Beechwood’s Sacred Space, located at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON K1L 8A6. The family will receive condolences from 12 p.m. Interment at Notre-Dame Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be addressed to the Canadian Cancer Society. Special thanks to the medical and nursing staff at Élisabeth Bruyère – Greystone Village for the good care provided to our dearest Marc.
