It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Brian Bell on January 12 2022, in the comfort of his own home, at the age of 69.

Brian is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Janet Bell. Loved brother of Mark (Gail) and Wayne. Cherished by Heather, nephews Austin and Justin (Allanah) and niece Ramanda.

Brian will be dearly missed by his close friends and colleagues from the Ottawa Police Services. Special thank you to Donna Lea Andrews for all the love and support she showed Brian on the journey we call life. Anyone who knew Brian knew his love for cars and sports, especially the Dolphins.

A thank you to all of "Brian's Girls" Carolyn, Khaty, Stephanie, Judith, Delephine, Queen and Bryana.

A special thank you to his first call of the day or good morning to the last call of the night, Krista who patiently stood with him through the tough times.

Donations in Brian's memory can be made to the Heart Institute

My sincere condolences to the Bell Family. Although I did not work closely with Brian, I knew him and had heard many shared stories amongst friends in the OPS.

Brian, I write this to you with a broken heart. I am in shock and disbelief that god has taken you away. I met you in November of 2017 and it was one of the luckiest days of my life. A day that I will never forget. Thank you for the countless amount of memories we made together, thank you for all the love and comfort you showed me on my darkest days, that you for all the “ milkshake, popcorn and jujube nights”, and thank you mostly for being you. You brought a smile to my face and a lot of warmth to my heart. You are a good man Brian. I will never forget you. Most importantly, i will never forget the time we shared together, everything you taught me and everything you showed me. Take it easy up there B, chocolate milkshakes up high for you tonight. xoxoxo, your favourite trouble maker; Bryana.

We worked as partners for several years in the early nineties in drug intelligence enforcement of the Ottawa Police. It was one of my highlights during my career, Brian you will be missed by all. Rest In Peace my friend.

Brian epitomized the police professionalism and we younger officers strove to emulate his abilities. He was the best communicator and superior in building relationships, with all - new or seasoned. Brian was a true gentleman and will be so missed. My deepest condolences to the Bell family and friends.
