Passed away peacefully at home on November 4, 2021, surrounded by her beloved family. Elizabeth leaves behind her husband Richard, daughter Laura (Kyle), sons; Kent (Michèle), Scott (Becca), Jay and Tim (Jenna). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Noah, Ahlyah, Aurora, Simone, Rowan, James and Arlo. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Cathy Gray, Barb Smith, Sharon Tennant, and their families, as well as her many friends from nursing school who she remained in contact with over the years. Liz left a lasting impression on everyone she met, and will forever be known for her genuine kindness, selflessness, and grace. Liz’s greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren who she visited frequently across the country, the most cherished memories being at the family cottage on Otter Lake where they gathered every summer. An inurnment was held on Thursday, November 11th, 2021, and she now rests alongside her loving parents, Elizabeth (Bessie) and Mel, at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
In loving memory of our Mama:
“I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
as long as I’m living
my Mommy you’ll be.”

I will miss her beautiful smile and luminous presence. I thought of her as my “sister warrior” in her tenacious, dignified battle against cancer. May her memory be for blessings to all who loved her.

I’m saddened by Elizabeth’s passing, whose light made brighter all those lives she touched. Liz and I shared a kind of “sisterhood” through our battles with cancer, and often communicated inspirational messages with one another. May her memory bring blessings to all who loved her.
Liz was dearly loved by all who knew her. We shall miss her for her gorgeous smile, her tinkling laugh, and her elegant charm. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a kind and caring individual, and a longtime friend to many. Her light has left us here on earth, and we are bereft, missing her. But her light is no longer diminished in our memories, or as a twinkling night time star, her earthly pain now gone. Rest In Peace, dear Liz
