It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Philip Sheldon Chrysler on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 79.

Phil was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed more than 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sheila, who passed away in 2024. He will be deeply missed by his sons, Jeffrey (Sabrina) and Matthew (Sarah), and by his treasured granddaughter, Ella.

Born to the late William and Ruth Chrysler of Cambridge, Phil is also predeceased by brother Ted Chrysler and survived by brother Glen Chrysler.

Phil was proud of his long and distinguished military career in aviation as an Air Traffic Controller. Even after retiring from service, he continued to give back through his volunteer work with Project North Star, a cause close to his heart.

He and Sheila shared a deep love of travel, and their home was filled with memories and stories from the many adventures they embarked on together. In his final days, Phil expressed deep gratitude for the steadfast friendship and support from everyone that surrounded him—something he treasured immensely.

A memorial service to celebrate Phil’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 25th at 2:00 P.M. at Orleans United Church, 1111 Orleans Blvd."

It was a pleasure knowing Phil. He always had some great stories in the lunchroom at Project North Star and his contributions to the Project are certainly instrumental in getting it to where it is now. . He will be greatly missed.

I met Phil when I joined Project North Star 2 years ago. His dedication to the project was amazing as were his contributions. He was always willing to provide help and guidance to the “new old kids on the block”. The stories he shared in the lunchroom were always interesting and enjoyable. We miss him.

I met Phil when I joined Project North Star a few years ago. His enthusiasm, dedication and contributions to the project were fantastic. He was a true gentleman who was always willing to help and provide guidance to the “new ‘old’ PNS kids on the block”. We enjoyed the interesting stories he recounted in the lunchroom. He is greatly missed.
