It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend James (Jim) Huett of Ottawa, Ontario, on the 21st of February 2025 at the age of 79. Jim was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, 13 October 1945. He was a graduate from Sydney Academy. Jim had a long career in the Canadian Armed Forces as a cook and military police, retiring at the rank of Master Corporal. His military career took him all over Canada.

He is survived by his partner and best friend Patsy, his children Jesse (Kassandra), Mary-Helen (Joseph), Wesley and Melissa (Andrew). Grandchildren Olivia, Samantha, Klare, Wyatt, Riley, Reid and Reagan, his sisters Marilyn, Susanne (Danny) and brother Gary (Cheryl). He is predeceased by his parents Jessie and James Herbert Huett.  He will be especially missed by his beloved dog Abby.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Beechwood. In memory of Jim, perform a random act of kindness.

Safe travels brother. A lot of memories of big brother times together. My thoughts are with Patsy and all Jim’s children and grandchildren.

Fox fox here I am Dad. I broke the bag of milk leaving your place that day. I also dented the VW that time. I’ll miss you till I die Dad I thought I could tell you sooner. I wish you could tell me that cheese slices and peanut butter is on sale one more time. Mary was with me for the van sorta if mom sees this. See you later Dad.
