Our precious mother and grandmother, Ina Adams (née Clarke), passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025 in Kamloops, B.C. Ina is now at rest after a long battle with dementia.

Ina was the heart of our home and family. She raised four children, David, Wayne, Valerie, and Michael, and was nan and grandma to her three grandchildren. Ina’s life was dedicated to her family and she was happiest making a home for her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Ina was born in Crockers Cove, Carbonear, Newfoundland to William and Elizabeth Clarke. Along with her six siblings, Ina and her family later moved to Gander, where Ina met the love of her life and beloved husband, Douglas Adams. Douglas was just beginning his career in the Royal Canadian Air Force when they married in 1956. As a family with their four children they moved frequently throughout Canada. Sadly, Douglas passed away in December of 2016.

Ina and Douglas started their retirement in Ottawa and later moved into a retirement home in Kamloops, B.C. They enjoyed making new friends and the relaxed environment at Berwick Manor.

Ina is survived by her children and grandchildren, David (children: Matthew & Ashley),Wayne, Valerie (husband: Kris, son: Kael), and Michael (wife: Cathy).
Ina was predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth Clarke (née Harvey) and her siblings Clara Snook, Isola Clarke, William Clarke, Walter Clarke, Emma Cox and Doreen Johnson.

The Adams family would like to thank Dr Wynn and the Staffof Ridgeview Lodge LTC for taking such wonderful, loving care of our mother and grandmother.
Internment and Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, 11 a.m. at the Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa.

Friends and families wishing to honour Ina are invited to make a donation in her name to Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Softly by Colin Gordon-Farleigh

Softly the leaves of memories fall,

Gently we gather to treasure them all,

Unheard, unseen, our loved ones are always near,

Still loved, still missed, still very dear.
