Dr Evelyn Abel Chatterjee will always be in my heart, in my brain and, indeed, in my soul, not only as the fond mother of my dearest friend, but also as the gifted teacher who introduced me to William Shakespeare and the elegance and lyricism of the of the English language.
Goodnight sweet Evelyn and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!

I am broken hearted beyond words and in Shock!! She adopted me as a son and she was and still is as a mother. I truly feel part of her family.
She never ceased to live and be loved in my heart. How is it possible to live with such loss, which can only be understood in the heart of God.
We shared our Faith, I shared my heart and my life. She knows and may she continue to hold my hand in Heaven. God be with us All.
We will always be together with Marian, Lilly, and Gillian in my heart and Faith. 🙏♥️
*My God, it was my birthday June 26.

Dear Lily,
Mario and I were deeply saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. Though we only shared brief greetings as neighbours at the cottage, she always carried a quiet warmth and grace that did not go unnoticed.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. I hope you find comfort in the memories you hold dear and in the peaceful surroundings she once enjoyed.
With sympathy and kind thoughts,
Mario and Francine
